Fendering & Equipment

The unique design of the Damen Axe-Bow allows the vessel to operate in wave heights of up to 2.5m, with a comfortable, swift sea motion. The fender design has a knuckle to improve docking performance and reduce the step distance between the vessel and the Transition Piece.
Deck space has been maximised to give 90m2 of area for cargo and maintenance equipment, the full payload is up to 15T. The vessel is provided with full safety equipment exceeding Flag standards, including the fitting of EBIRBS, SARTS, and M.O.B. rescue systems. A Sea-Marshall M.O.B. locating system is fitted as standard .

 

Accommodation & Comfort

Individual crew and passenger seating is provided benefiting from full air suspension seats, seatbelts and headrests for maximum safety. The accommodation and bridge are fully air-conditioned with all decks fitted with noise deadening materials to reduce noise levels to a minimum to provide a comfortable transfer environment.
The vessel is provided with a ‘wet’ changing room with lockers, WC and shower, along with a galley in the main passenger area.
Accommodation is provided for 6 crew members based on 2 and 4 berth cabins. The vessel has a flat-screen TV with a DVD player and satellite TV receiver, and a full satellite Wi-Fi link is available for passengers to use.

 

Additional Information

The vessel can be equipped with a Fuel Transfer system, and it is possible to fit an additional 5,800Lt of tank capacity to the vessel for additional endurance or for bunkering duties.
A 3 point mooring system is in place to allow diving operations, with ample deck space for a diving spread including a decompression chamber if required. A 440V AC power supply is available for use onboard to power contractors’ equipment and machinery.
A High-Pressure Washer is fitted for use at the bow for TP cleaning duties.
