We welcome William Portlock to the team

We’re overjoyed to be introducing our new starter, William Portlock, to the team!

Will has joined us as Lead Inspections Engineer and will be working with our clients across the UK, both on and offshore.

“Having worked for Rix as a contractor, I’m now happy to have become a permanent member of staff,” Will said. “I am looking forward to getting stuck in and becoming an integral part of the team.”

After leaving school, William completed an apprenticeship in Wind Turbine Maintenance before becoming an Authorised Technician with a leading onshore generation company. From there, he began his journey in offshore maintenance and has worked on various platforms and scopes of work.

As well as heading up our inspections team, William will be furthering his training with a view to becoming an Appointed Person for lifting operations. This will be done through LEEA, the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association, with whom we have recently reached full membership status. William’s skills and development will further enhance our offering to clients in the lifting arena.
